A while back I noticed there were hardly any videos on youtube showing the new AKAI MPD24 so I took a few hours to make this one. I wanted to come up with some kinda routine I could perform live if ever I had to play at a beat battle or show/event. It isn’t perfect and I know that the pad scratching is kind of cheesy but it was a new trick I recently learned so I ended up using it in this little video. I’m a scratch DJ myself and prefer vinyl over this pad scratching ANY DAY but I was stoked on learning the trick so incorporated it into this little performance. So like I said, it’s a cool little trick and nothing more. I know it’s not as skillfull as real scratching. No need to state the obvious people.
This video was originally ment for other beatmakers and producers so they can see what the MPD24 can do. I never really thought much of it but then people started eating it up to my surprise.
